My airbag warning light is permanently on - the local garage says that it is to do with the seatbelt tensioner on the passenger side. Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you sure it is a passenger seat and not a driver seat? I don't believe passenger seat has a sensor in the seat belt buckle assembly. But I can be wrong on that. Anyhow, the E36 most common Air Bag issues are either Driver Seat Belt Buckle assembly (tensioner) or Passenger Seat Occupancy sensor. Either fault will trigger the SRS Light to be continuously "on". Did they read the Error Code out? What was it? |

Hi thanks for the reply. No the garage didn't tell me the error code but I am going to contact them tomorrow and ask for it. Funnily enough the drivers seatbelt at times doesn't clip in properly. |
