okay, just finished replacing all four rotors and pads. Great work, and I'm glad I did it myself. I can't stand the dealer, especially when they give you the "certified BMW mechanic" speech for something as simple as brakes. Anyway, I put on the new pad sensor wires, but the brake pad warning light is now on in the instrument cluster. I have checked the connections on both ends of the wires, turned the key to number 2 position for 2 minutes, and even disconnected the negative battery cable in the hopes of resetting the light. Does anyone have another idea? Does the dealer have to reset this? |

Make sure the pins inside the connectors are not bent.
If still on then you have to leave the ignition in on possition for up to 2 hours, for the light to go off |

Will check for bent pins, good suggestion thanks. 2 hours in the on position - will that drain the battery? |
