Hi! My name is Penny. I just bought my 2000 Z-3 Roadster and had to have an oil change. Our regular mechanic has serviced my husbands 325i for the past 5 years. He couldn't figure out how to reset the oil service indicator light. Any help?

Also yesterday my seatbelt stuck as I was getting in. I pulled and released and it came out but now my airbag light is on. Anyone know how to turn that off?

Thank you in advance!

I just reset my oil lights on my '02 3.0i using this procedure.

Are you sure that the procedure applies all BMW models? Would it be simpler and safer just to stop by a dealer or an independent BMW garage and have them reset it for you. It is a free service at our local BMW dealer. It doesn't take but a minute to reset with a proper tool.

The procedure only works for the models specified (sounds like legaleze, huh?). As I stated, it worked for my '02 3.0i Z3.

Yes, its easy to stop by a shop and get the lights reset, but I haven't found anyone who will do it for free. As with any DIY repair, if you aren't comfortable doing it, don't DIY.
