Not sure about the seats. If it was a special order, the buyer could specify the seats he wanted. My E39 came with comfort seats, because that's how it was ordered.

It may also be the same issue with chrome trim.

I Liked your article, but oops.
I own a 2001 740IL that has blk mld and HL washers, blk window trim, non thigh seats, regular shift, 18" wheels and dinan chips.
My steering wheel is regular also.
They call mine the sport also.
