Hey all. Been quite awhile since I've stopped by. Unfortunately not for a very good reason. I hope you will all forgive me...
Time to get a new, more reliable vehicle and time to say adious(?) to the BMW. It's been a fun car, learned quite a bit about maintainence from you guys. But lately it's starting to require too much work/money to be worth it for me.
It's not in great shape but I'm sure someone here could use it somehow.
Most likely as a parts car.
It's a 4 door and all the metal on the body is in pretty good shape. Save a few small dents in a door or two. little ding in a 1/4 panel.
rear/side windows good...
new timing belt, water pump, fuel pump...
engine runs good but has leaks.
At this point I'm not sure if I'm getting a truck(eww) from a dealer or personal, if dealer in Denver I'll probably just trade in for a few hundred.
But I actually think I'm going to get a truck from a local guy here.
So I'd like to get a few hundred, trade an I-Pod or something. If you have an offer...
You'd have to pick it up. Grand Junction Co.
I'll probably know for sure if I get the truck local by this weekend.
I know it's nothing sweet, no killer deal... I'd just rather see it go to someone who'll use the parts to keep a bmwer going than trash it at a junkyard. _________________

Just to let you know,
I did trade at dealer. Sad to see it go, it was fun, just too much trouble lately.
Guess that means I won't be around here anymore either since I won't have any newbie mechanic questions to ask you guys.
But I do appreciate all the help you guys had given me in the past.
Long live BMWers, I'm not in one anymore but they are still in me.
