Does anyone know if a 1999 328i comes with a timing belt or a timing chain?
Thanks |

It is not indicated anywhere in the engine compartment. Simply get confirmation from a BMW service technician or the parts department as they have on their computers full schematics of the engines or memorized in their brains. You can also read in various books on BMW. I believe the last BMW engine built with timing belt was sometime in 1992 in a 6 cylinder model. After that, all BMW engines have timing chains. _________________ Don |
