|
|
Been looking to solve this problem to fix the swimming pool around the battery...
The back of Z3 top rolls under the body. Water rolls under this lip running down the front wall of the trunk onto the trunk floor and back into the battery box. I can clearly see this by spraying water at this point. Spraying water around the brakelight or trunk seal produces no water leaks.
My understanding is that there is a convertible top to body seal that is replaced to fix this problem..... apparently big job. And if this does it how much $$?
But if that is the case then it would just hold water between top to body. Are there not any drain holes designed for this area? And if not how is this water that is collected supposed to run off/evaporate?
Surely BMW must have a tech sheet on this....... Any techs out there with an answer......
Thanks for any assistance provided!
