i have a 94 740l. it will not idle on cold mornings. once it warms up runs fine. have to keep foot on gas for 5 or so min. then it will drop from 1500 rpms to about 500 rpm and jump back up to 1500 again, and start all over untill it warms up. if i try to drive it before the warm up it seems to stumble and stall. ithink it may be a coolant temp sensor faulty but not sure.
please help.

Could be a dirty or defective idle control valve. _________________
