For racing on the 22nd? We're workin' on it!
Bob and Tom.
Tom.
Looks pretty clean...
...but flash shows you why we're all wearing masks.
You can never have too many ECUs.
Taking a breather outside.
Stay tuned! |

I'm getting a lot of help with the car this year. Ken and Wes, Tom, Bob, Skip, Roadstergal, Peter, all have worked on my car in the last 2 weeks and previously.
The bodywork is almost there, part of 1 fender is the biggest part remaining.
The paint should happen on Monday/Tuesday of next week, or I'll race in primer, with the bodywork totally done, and take it in to get sprayed right after the race.

Saturday was a big work party day on my race car.
Erik B., Greg Mierz, Roadstergal, came by and help on the car. Erik was here from aprox 11am until after 9pm! Huge thanks to these guys for their help today, and to BobM for driving 60 miles (r/t) to bring me a set of scales for corner weighting my car.
Some of the things we got done are:
- install new windshield
- clean and sand new front valance panel
- install new control arms
- install new tie rods
- install seat back brace
- install new OMP seat with side mount, allowing better adjustment of the seat
- create a custom 18mm wrench for tightening the rear toe adjustment
- change oil and filter, Mobil 1 15w50, Mahle filter
- change trans oil and diff oil, used Redline products
- setup car for corner weighting on Sunday
- 2 trips to BMW Seattle for $25 of hardware, and 4 lockwashers for the front tie rods(2 used in this install, 2 for spares)
- a trip to 3 local hardware stores, before finally going to BMW Seattle for the hardware
- a trip to the U-District, to pickup a fuel pump on loan from a friend
- a trip to Burien to pickup the Redline gear lube
- a trip to the local Shucks auto parts store to dump 5 gallons of used oil, and pickup 2 more quarts of Mobil 1
- a trip to the local Papa Johns for pizza mid-day
- long day!
