well... actually, you can cheat a little bit on the back end of the e30's at least and thus, i assume, the others as well.
There are rear bushings for trailing arms or subframes or whatever that are the polyurethane (plastic) that you can buy from racing places and bavauto.com etc.
Some of them are made to alter the alignement of the rear a little bit.
I supposed its to fix the negative camber that happens when you put lowering springs on your car.
Otherwise, call up the alignment shop and ask them. Most of them use those computer-run alignment machines where they have to look up the car in the computers menu and that tells them what can/can't be aligned.
