I do love the Smart Roadster, and hope I can get one in the US eventually. I found this tidbit today while browsing. Looks like a pretty cool technology. Would you get it on your E30?

Radio Control Car racers/hobbyists have been using Lexan bodies for quite some time now. The body is painted on the inside. Barely any paint is removed during a collision.

I like the idea, considering I just got a quote of $1700 to repaint my chipped hood, nose panels, and fender.

Lexan paint? Thats cool. Isnt that the plastic stuff that's used in chemistry labware? I think a compay called nalgene makes it. Its neat stuff, you can drop it all you want! Something that should be encouraged in all chem labs.
