I just picked up a 1996 Z3 roadster. Both power seats slide forward and backward. The car had only 9000 miles on it. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks |

I have the same problem on my '96 Z3, also on both seats. I just bought the car so I don't know how long it's been like that.
I'm taking it to the dealer on Thursday, so I'll let you know what they say. |

Hi Bill
I sold my Z, But if the seats slide (not rock), it's the bushings next to the threaded nut. Kinda hard to describe, the threaded rod spins to move the seats back and forth. There is a bushing on either side of the nut part. Mine were gone. I found some aftermarket delrin bushings and had no further problems. I'll try and find the source for you.
