Well, the time has come. She's served me quite well, but I needed to move on. I'm asking $800 OBO for the car.
Here's a list of the pros and cons:
Car information:
1986 BMW 325 200,000 miles
Cosmos Blau-metallic
Blue interior
Problems:
-The front seats need to be re-covered.
-The fenders are rusted in the front and they are starting to rust in the back
-The engine has a pretty good valve tick, but there are no knocks.
-Power steering pump is shot, but replacement will be given with the car.
-Fan clutch is shot, but replacement comes with the car as well.
-The left rear wheel bearing is starting to go bad. It's not too bad, it's just a little noisey.
-Slight oil leak from the pressure sensor.
-Gas tank leaks slightly if filled all the way (this might be the gasket)
-The paint is crazed on the horizontal surfaces.
The Good:
-The tranny is in great shape, shifts smoothly and has redline MTL in it. It was replaced by the previous owner, so it's pretty new as well.
-Car runs and starts right up.
-Burns NO oil at all
-Passed IL inspection a month ago
-Radiator was recently replaced as well as all coolant hoses
-Timing belt still has 25,000 miles before it needs to be replaced
-Brand new rotors on the back
-Brand new steel brake lines form front of the car to the back
-Brand new steel and rubber fuel lines front to back
-Ball joints/control arms recently replaced
-Have all servioce records (except for oil changes as I do those myself EVERY 3,000 or less)
