Glad I found this site! Am considering purchasing a 1986 750L with 130,000 miles. Have loved old BMW's from afar, with no backgound in what major concerns I need to watch for with this type of car. Any and all thoughts MUCH appreciated.

Are you able to, and capable of, working on this car? If so, you will save much money in maintenance. If not, walk away from it.

If you do decide to buy, make sure you take it to an independent BMW shop, and pay them at least $100 to inspect it mechanically.
