Very often, idler pulleys have off-the-shelf standard sealed ball bearings installed. While I've not examined the idler of which you speak, it may be that the bearing is held in place with circlips. You'll need to remove the pulley to be certain.
Even if the bearing must be pressed out, and a new one pressed in, a local automotive machine shop can do that. They may also be able to supply the bearing.
You KNOW you'll get hosed if you have to buy the idler pulley from the dealer! |
