Help. My X5 4.4i came with a beautifully installed trailer hitch prewired and ready to go. The problem is this ... where, under the dash, do I connect the electronic brake controller for the boat trailer? The dealer hasn't a clue. |

Hi, E36 regular just expanding my knowledge of other models. I haven't a clue what you are talking about but seeing as no-one else has replied here goes:
Electronic brake control, presumably this just requires a 12 volt feed whenever the brakes are actuated? In that case you can just wire it up (using a relay) to the brake light switch on the brake pedal, or come to think of it, the brake light itself. Presumably there is a 'proper' way to do this but if so, I'm amazed the dealer doesn't know about it. Anyway, I hope this helps. |
