I can be usually found on the E30 board, but need some help. My son is not mechanically inclined. He just purchased a 98 M3 that will not pass inspection. High NOX. It's chipped, free flow intake and exhaust. He has done the normal stuff. Car is well warmed up, new oil, air cleaner cleaned, etc. Mechanic he has used in the past say's it needs a new catalytic converter ($3K) and maybe O2 sensors ($250 each). Can anybody lend him some assistance so he doesn't get ripped off.
Thanks. Email kenandvic@cox.net and I will pass his contact info |
