Am I the only one who thinks the standard Hi-Fi in the E46 is crap. I have been to a local specialist who wanted £800 for a system in my coupe. All I want is better speakers and a bit more bass. Anyone any ideas on custom fit speakers? I don't want any carpets removed or a wide boy mega-bass system. |

I work for Pioneer and can get good rates on speakers. Firstly, are Pioneer (never tried them) any good and what size should I go for (100W, 80W, etc.) Can you tell me the depth of the speakers you used, how you connected into the BMW plug (or just cut) and did you need a separate mounting interface for the speakers to fit the original mounting (where did you get it?). |

Sounds good. So, just to be clear. You have no amp (factory or otherwise) just the stock head unit feeding the speakers. By replacing the speakers you have good sound? On another note, I am considering buying the VEN 4 from peripheral-aamp.com. This should allow me to connect an amp to the head unit. The only problem then is connecting the to the speakers in the doors. Any experience? |
