dont know too much about cars....but i like to drive fast. i purchased a used '87 325is (as it says on the car). i also purchased a DINAN chip for it. when i was purchasing this chip (over the phone), they asked me for the cpu number. i gave it to them, and they said that i have a 325e. now, i am confused and i dont know which one i have. i dont have the manual. is there any way in finding out just by looking at? |

Check your vin # online you will find it where the driver side door sits a really long number go to bluebook.com and the will have a plae for vin #'s |

okay.....i found out what my car is now.....it is a 1987 BMW 325. now can anyone tell me what the e, es, i, is stands for?
and what is the difference between those and just the plain 325?

As I remember , the "E" is a the four door model, the 325 was the two door coupe, and teh "ES" was the two door sport suspension.
