Your car probably has the in dash fader wheel. If so, it will be easiest to rewire your speakers. You will also need the special 5 sided wrench to take the radio out. work arounds such as filing an old allen key, or finding just the right sized screwdriver also work. As you aren't going to reuse the radio, buggering up the hold down bolts is not an issue. If you have installed radios before, it is basically the same procedure. hot, switch hot, antenna, and ground are all avaiable on the existing harness. Route your new speaker wires under the dash to the front kick panels, rear leads continue under the door sill, rear side panels etc to the rear speakers. If you want someone else to do it, if they are not familiar with BMW's tell them basically what I have said here.
