I asked this a couple years ago, neighbor is finally thinking about getting the car running and selling it. A quick look would give it a 4 out of 10 rating, it hasn't run in several years. Is it worth cleaning and getting it drivable again? What's the market like and how much could he expect to get. Hard to find any good data on a car that old.
Car is located in eastern VA if that makes a difference. |

Hi Ken:
I did a Google search on 1986 BMW L3 and come up with literally nothing... that never happens!
How much do YOU know about the car, other than it being next door? _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! But now on the East Coast and the salt air corrosion is eating my beautiful car alive...

Not much. It was a daily drive until he parked it a few years ago. I can't remember the reason. I do remember he lost his mechanic and I was working and too busy to help at the time.
I had 2 325i's Sold the first one at 425,000 still running strong and put almost 150K on the second before I retired and sold it. Great cars. My hobby now is restoring a '73 vette. |

What did you decide to do on the L3 Ken?
Know anyone that has a Pioneer KE-83ZBM radio they want to sell cheap? _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! But now on the East Coast and the salt air corrosion is eating my beautiful car alive...
