I would like to purchase a remanufactured convertible top motor (for the clamshell) for my 92 cabrio. Does anyone know of a company that would sell them. I would like to avoid having to buy one through BMW, Bavauto or Pelican. Worried about purchasing one on ebay and it doesn't work. I welcome your thoughts.
Thank You, |

You could buy a new motor, but honestly most folks with the power tops just pull the rods off the motor and the top, and treat the top like a manual top.
Use the electric top switch to open and close the top cover behind the rear seats, but otherwise treat the top as if it was a manual top.
You can raise or lower in way under a minute, it just doesn't seem like it's worth the hassle to fix the power top.
