|
|
Does anyone have a cruise control stalk for a 1986 BMW 325es available? Mine cracked at the area where it mounts to the column and I think a small part or two might be lost. I put it back together but it's whacked.
Just need the stalk/switch, not the whole harness, etc.

Careful... that one is for an 89, and you don't have that.
While the wiring may match in terms of connectors, the shaft angle varies... Don't ask me how I know!
Anyway, first, go to RealOEM.com, pump in your VIN, and you'll get the parts list for YOUR car. Get the part number for the stalk, then start looking...
This angle thing hit me on two of the stalks... If you get a new one, the graphics will be perfect.
Might try Pelican Parts once you have the number. Also, if you're a BMWCCA member, you can get a discount at the dealer. _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! Thanks! That's why I didn't bid on that eBay listing. The listing specifically said: "1989 BMW E30 Cruise control stalk switch 88, 89, 90, 91."
I would need the earlier version, for a 1986, two door, manual transmission, no airbag. The part # is: 61 31 1 377 246.
I've seen a few selling for hundreds, but hope one of my e30 brothers might have a donor car lying about. |

That part number is for a cruise control stalk for an E24 6 series car... _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! But now on the East Coast and the salt air corrosion is eating my beautiful car alive...

It appears that this is the one you need:
61-31-1-377-241
It's $131.00 at Pelican Parts, new. _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! But now on the East Coast and the salt air corrosion is eating my beautiful car alive...
