1991 318i and I need to replace the trunk seal. Can anyone give some guidance on removing the trunk trim piece in the rear? Referring to the hard black plastic piece that sits on top of the seal across the whole rear trunk edge.
I tried prying up the plastic rivet looking heads and they would'nt come out. Do they just break as a result of removal and I replace them? _________________ o/_ __ _\o

The rivets have a round center post... push those through and they release the rivet expansion. Then you can just pull the rivets out... _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong!
