Hello , I replaced my water pump on 97 528i. MY question is, how and what size bolts do you adjust to replace drive belts? I tightened the 4 nuts for water pump, also the four studs for new water pump pulley. I also tightened the 32 metric nut for fan. My next step is to remove old water pump belt and remove other shorter belt so I can install new ones. I also need to sung up pulley nuts once I get belts on.
Thanks,
John |

John,
Do you have a copy of the Bentley E39 Service Manual? If not, get one. _________________

John, you solve your problem?
the pulleys are on tensioners, you need to insert the star drive into the pulley, and turn to the right, the pulley will loosen _________________ joe

My question is how did you replace the water pump w/o removing the belts first? Either the verb tenses are all incorrect or you are awesome, really. _________________
