I have a 92/318 m42 engine and am wondering will the flywheel off it fit on to a 98/318 m43. I hope somebody can help.

I do not know much about BMW flywheels, but they are usually a set with the rest of the engine due to balancing. In any case, to see if it will fit, go to realoem.com and pull the part numbers for both engines' flywheels.
