Hi,
First, my name is Marin, I'm from Slovenia (that's in Europe), and I'm 23 years old (young).
So, what brings me here?
I'm a E36 nut. I just bought my third E36, so I could convert it into a race (drift) car.
My first BMW was a 320. Second one a 325(with no engine), and my current one is a 316 with a 318is engine. All three 4-door saloons.
Since I was a little short on cash, I bought the first one for 200$, and after that the second one for 300$.
And, what did I get for that money? To be honest - not much.
Red one is my first E36, and the green one is the second:
It took me two massive bumps in the head to figure out that buying cheap isn't the best option. So, i finally bought an complete, mechanically intact, well equipped car. And I paid it just 700$. (yea, E36 cars are cheap as hell here)
The good thing is, I've found a great job, with a great salary, so I can spend more on my project. (Having 2 kids, girlfriend in college, a dog, and an old house shows its toll on my account)
I've already bought an E36 M3 3.2 LSD Diff, and will rebuild it soon. I've bought stainless steel, racing exhaust headers for a 2.8L engine... And, 2 sets of rims - OZ 16", and 16" style 45. Next month I'll try to rip an engine from a scraped E39 528, and install it into my E36...
Well, that's it for now. I'll keep you updated. And, I almost forgot - here's a teaser picture of my third (current) E36:
