I'm sorting out the OBC and SI batteries type issues, and I keep running into various 'code' things. Seems somebody said something about shorting across one of the code modules so it wouldn't be an issue anymore. (You can tell I'm confused, can't you?). Anyhow, I'd like to know why there have to be so many 'codes' built into our beloved 6ers! I thought the frickin' War was over! What would happen if, provided I could learn how to, jump around, or shunt, or otherwise eliminate all the 'Code' apparatus in MY car? I would be willing to have attached to the base of the windshield a permanent note stating that I don't mind if someone breaks into and steals my car! Well, certainly I would mind, but why do I have to be constantly reminded that, watch out, one day you might not be able to turn that gizmo on, Brick, because you might not remember the CODE!? Sure, I'm being silly, but does anyone actually know how many little 'Code' devices there are on the Sixers? And, where they are? And, how many can I do without? And, why can't I live without ANY of them?
I know my radio code, even if I have to take it out and read it off the metal casing. But, I don't know ANY of the others! Am I just screwed?

Perhaps if you identified the car, someone could help you.
Do you have a 7-series Bentley's for the same vintage?
Whoops, I looked at your earlier post, and know what the car is. I suggest you create a sig that ID's the car, and where you live.
Have you tried a cold boot, where you disconnect the battery for several minutes? _________________
