Salmon silver exterior, black leather interior 1987 BMW 535is, 160K miles, Manual 5-speed transmission. This car is powerful and drives very smoothly. I got the car as a restoration project a few years ago, but have not had the time to continue and am now accepting the fact that I won't be able to finish it. This is a classic, reliable, safe and strong automobile.
The car is in excellent running condition but it needs a new (or used) catalytic converter element, which is preventing it from passing smog test. Sold as is.
The good:
5-speed manual shift transmission
Power everything: windows, door locks, sunroof, steering, brakes, headrests, seats
Front seats power adjustable and driver side memory
This car has been stored for 2 years by the current owner
Tires with 9mm+ tread
All service records included, maintained by high-end Berkeley BMW specialist
Nice Nakamichi CD/MP3 player/radio with remote
Sunroof opens and closes easily, no leaks
Brakes on all tires have been used only 7K miles
There has not been any repainting nor collision repair work done
Wheels are 7J 15 H2 and are in good shape
The bad:
Outside rearview mirrors w/o power
Leather interior free of cracks and tear in the back, but some cracks on dashboard top and few, small cracks on driver's seat
The A/C needs a resistor for the auxiliary fan, pressures are OK, good outlet temps as well, hose from compressor to condenser leaks, and low-speed aux fan should be replaced eventually
No antenna, but motor is working fine
Hole in a rear right lamp casing
Control console inoperative
Not registered
Price is NOT negotiable: I have considered all the above flaws and the price is already reduced for this reason
