Gruppe,

I have a kit I developed for bigger, brighter tail lights on my E28, and have recently made improvements to the kit.
Problem: the Check Control module was saying tail, brake, and/or license plate lights were out when they were working fine.
Solution: I added a few items to the kit to eliminate the false negatives. Still quite simple, and flexible -- you can add one, two or three more lights on each side. Also, I use the better bulbs from Daniel Stern in the kits, see his site (www.danielsternlighting.com) for the technical specs on them. I have these bulbs for tail, turn, reverse, and brake lights.
Bottom line, it really helps increase your visibility by making the car seem bigger and closer than it is, calling attention to your presence, and hopefully by waking up the driver behind you, will help them avoid rear-ending you. The kit is WAY less expensive than that happening!

If anyone wants more info, I can describe it in as much detail as you want. just ask here in a reply, or PM me. I can send (or post) a better description.

I am also working on other models - E3, E24, E30, and E36, to take advantage of the opportunities there, as well as an older Mercedes Benz, the W123. I also have upgraded my head lights to the Cibie CSR 5-3/4" round units, and boy are they nice!

Andy

Since there are no pics in this post, I have linked to the one that has the side-by-side comparison pics.

These improvemments are easy to make and not that expensive.

I sell different kits so you can make any degree of upgrade without blowing your budget, and will reply to PMs or direct emails for more details, and board members get a discount of 20%.
