For what it is worth, I installed an ECIS cold air system (HMS Motorsports - $235) in my 2000 2.5 this past weekend . Here's what I got...
Slightly better sound - a nice growl from the tailpipe, but only a bit louder.
Very slightly frustrated - very good directions, easy to install, just one minor glitch.
Better Hp - I had a K & N in the air box before, but the cone filter beats it hands down. The heat shield seems to work well, and the Z jumped at the very first urging. Noticably better accelleration
Yeah,,,, worth it!

I have a 99 2.5 that I just picked up. I'm really intested in anything else you have done to your Z3 and how it worked out for you. Have you upgraded the exhaust? Did you make the investment in the upgraded chip? Any suspension upgrades? _________________ Z34ME |
