Went to the Reno Air Races in September. Talked to the Castrol rep while there. Castrol has a line of dino oils for piston-powered aircraft, since most piston engine manufacturers specify dino.

Question: why, if synthetic is superior, don't the engine mfrs specify its use?


Castrol rep had no clue...
