Hello, my son purchased a 1995 740il, and it has one problem, the passenger side mirror, will randomly start moving up down side ways all on its own. We are trying to trouble shoot the problem, it doesn't seem to matter if the slide control on the drivers door is slid to the drivers side mirror or not, the passenger mirror just starts moving and then stops on its own as well. We have pulled the button cluster out of the drivers door to see if any wires were grounding out but no luck. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem,,,Thanks for the read.. |

Consider shooting some electronic contact cleaner into the switch. |

You may also want to check the activator switch near the shift lever. I believe the mirror is supposed to tilt down when the lever is moved to Reverse. Maybe there is something shorting that switch. |

Also examine the wiring to the right side mirror, where it enters the door. _________________
