I have a Z3 2002 2.2i. It has a BMW "Business" radio plus a BMW 6 CD Changer type A. Within a week of purchase (second hand - oops "Approved" - from a BMW dealer)the CD magazine would not extract. A new Changer unit (type A) was fitted. This worked OK for 2 weeks and has now also jammed (i.e. the magazine will not extract). This has today been replaced by a third Changer type A and the old unit, including my CDs has been sent somewhere to be investigated.
As Goldfinger said "Once is happenstance, twice coincidence, three times enemy action".
Has anyone else had such fun with a Z3's CD changer ?
Any advice ? (short of 'get a VW' !) |

Happens all the time.
I just use a thin piece of plastic to jar it loose in the back right portion while pulling on the cartridge. |
