Hi,

I have the full comms package on my late 2000 E38. Just lately the radio sound stops working. Turn the radio off for 10 minutes and everything is fine again. All the display works fine, CD changer and tape deck engage, just the sound goes.

The GPS Nav "voice" also stops working so I guess this a fault with the output from the comms unit.

I don't really want to pay for hours and hours of "diagnostics" from my dealer and wondered if anybody else has had the same thing happen/ can make a suggestion as to what might be wrong?

All suggestions gratefully received.
