I have always liked the 7-series, and the new movie "The Transporter" featured one with a fully-manual transmission. Did BMW really make a stick-shift 7? Were they in Europe only or something? I'm totally tearing my hair out trying to find one anywhere, or even find out if it was maybe just made special for the movie. I hope someone can help! |

It's certainly possible that it's a production car. Europeans aren't so squeamish about stick shifts as we are.
Also, there is a much bigger array of options available across the pond, since cars are more often built to order. In the US of A, BMW NA decides on specifying cars with options that most people will buy.
I doubt that the typical 7-series buyer here would hate to be caught dead in a stick shift car!
Maybe our European friends can shed light on this... |

I currently own a stick shift '84 728, so I guess this means they make them. I do howeer lie in Germany and almost eerything here is manual trans. |
