I just replaced the load leveling struts with Bilsteins and strut assemblies from another 7 series car. I looped the hydraulic lines going rearward so the power steering relief valve would not open and heat up the system oil. It Worked perfectly for 2 weeks, now I have noticed a marked increase in the level of effort required to turn the steering wheel. Did i plug a filter? Also what type of fluid does this system use? |

quote: The PS in my wife's '93 740i is similar to what you describe. It takes some exotic stuff called Pentosin or something like that. ~ $20 / liter. I hope you didn't put ATF into it if it takes the Pentosin.
Good Luck,
Phil
