I just installed a tv monitor with dvd player in my 96 740il. Im getting a whine at all speeds due to the fm modulator picking up interference. Im pretty sure that I just need to play with switching ground connections around, but does anybody have any additonal suggestions.
ps.
Ive tried the modulator on all the listed stations and to date no success in elimonating the whine..... |

Is the FM modulator seperate from the DVD player? If so try adding a ground loop isolator in the audio lines feeding from the DVD to the modulator. I think Radio Shack sells them. They are simply audio isolation transformers used to break ground loops.
Good luck,
Phil
