i've been misled twice about which battery to use in my E30 (85 325e). if anybody knows the real group or type of battery's these cars use, let me know, and please dont tell me to go to the dealer and pay like $150 for a battery.

| I just replaced my battery in a 1991 318is with a Champion battery for $33 . I will check the model number of the battery and get back to you. I bought it at a SAMS Club (it is a spinoff of WalMart) |

| I always use the rule of thumb, put in the biggest (capacity) battery that will fit in the holder, not touch anything and fit the terminals. I've never really given it any thought beyond that, and I've had over twenty cars in my life with no problems. If you're having battery problems, perhaps you should be looking at your alternator? |
