Hi, does anyone know about a warranty or recall on the 540i engine? I guess it is a casting problem..Thanks!

Yep, the cylinder bores were treated with nikasil, which will deteriorate with high-sulfur fuel. Current blocks are treated with alumisil.

The engine warranty was extended to 100k miles.
