If I purchace a new drive shaft (New flex disk, ujoints, bearing ect) from the dealer to replace the existing, can i just bolt it in the same way the old one came out or is there more to it than that?
What about ballancing the shaft or is that done before you purchase it? |

Is your driveshaft missing? If not why would you want to buy a new one? If it's in as bad shape as you imply, you can still probably get it rebuilt at a local driveshaft shop. Often, they can recommend premium parts to install, and they will balance the assembly.
It'll probaly be much cheaper than buying a new one from the dealer, unless you have incriminating photos of the parts manager with an animal. |
