I have a 1993 525i Wagon with an Alpine2
Tape Caasette/Radio unit. This morning, I ejected a tape to listen to the radio and all
I hear is static. The tape player works fine.
Does anybody have experience with this problem ? If so, I would be grateful for any
pointers.

Is this the original radio? If so, it may be worn out, so that the switch that selects the radio signal versus the tape is not making contact.
Does it work OK if you turn the radio off and then back on? How about cycling the ignition switch off and on?
If it then works, it may be busted. Take the opportunity to upgrade to a new killer radio. |
