The only thing I know is the SMG transmission is currently available in Germany for the 325i and the 330i models. The extra cost is around 1,450 Euro, 16% VAT tax included. You may want to check whether German spec'ed and SMG equipped car can be in the BMW European Delivery Program. Or else, check whether there is a gray market in the States for cars that is so equipped. |

I read that the new Z4 will come with SMG and the Z4 is based off the 3 series platform; I would imagine that the SMG would come as an option on the 3 series as well. I think it will be a "detuned" version of the SMG in the M3.
