I don't think is was ever on a US spec car. I have seen that parts break down though.
I wonder if it was even available as an option here
It may be just a Euro option.
Interesting though, probably more reliable than the electro set up that's prone to failure

just wondering on if the hydraulic one has a similar strength issue as the electric one does.

yes.

and if they used the same casing, wouldn't the hydraulic one break much faster ?

hence, is there a forged casing somewhere ? (like a German junk yard just waiting to be saved)
