Daniel,
I don't know what your cabrio is worth, because it has so many modifications. But I can give you some general comments from my experience selling modified or unusual cars.

Most buyers are looking to buy an unmodified car and won't pay much if anything more for modifications.
On newer cars, I've seen modifications sell for about 30% of the parts cost on top of the normal cost of the car.

Most people that want a modified car usually want to make the mods themselves.

When I was interested in getting the most $$$ out of a modified car, I returned it to as close to stock as I could and kept or sold the other misc parts. Or I just sold it for what I could get, which was pretty close to an unmodified car, and took the loss and moved on.

To determine a reasonable price for a stock E30 cabrio, look at what cars are currently for sale. Most of them are beaters, so ignore them, just look at the nice stock E30 cabrios for sale and use that to figure out a price.

Hope this helps
Dale

yes thanks.

i am amazed on how much some examples are going for. and i was considering at least 5k and throwing it up on ebay, but may ask for 8+

i actually want to do the same things to red + a roll cage so i can track it. the cabrio is (imo) too nice to track or put a cage in

I agree with Dale.
I too have been looking at values lately, I've been on the fence on whether to invest in this car or replace it. At the moment, I decided putting some money into it. (repairs are always cheaper than payments!)
From what I've seen, 5K-6K for a really nice E30 vert. (later years).
There was a cherry 318 vert that sold on ebay recently for low 6K's.

I would shoot for your high end first. You're going to need to promote it at car shows clubs etc. and it may take some time to find a buyer.
It's harder to find "that" buyer for a heavily modded car than it would be for a stock car.
As long as you're not in a hurry, I think eventually you will find "that" buyer that likes the mods and has to have the car

If you want to do similar mods to the red car, why not pull current mods off of your cabrio and swap over to the red car? That reduces cost of mods to the red car and you don't have to buy the parts again, and returns the cabrio closer to stock.

First off I'd like to say that is very sharp and an impressive list of mods you've done to the vehicle. I wish I had the cash to take it off your hands, even if you did what Dale suggested and swapped a lot of the mods over to a different car. It's obviously well cared for, even if you returned it to bone stock condition, and that says a LOT.

However on another note, I'm always SO much more ashamed of whatever vehicle I happen to own when I see something like this. I suppose I should buy something nice next time instead of just buying something cheap and limping it along until it's COMPLETELY driven to death... Embarassed
