|
|
i have a 318i with oem rims and just went shopping for 195 65r14 tires. I needed two and now regret not buying four that last time. I got two BFG Traction TA's the last time but since the other two, Goodyear Eagles were still okay, I only bought two BFG's.
Big mistake as I could not find two more BFG's. As a matter of fact, I had a hard time finding any 14" tires period! They all had 16/17/19 etc but they all said 14 and even 15" are going the way of the dinosaurs.
I ended up getting two Uniroyal Touring tires and hope I do not regret it...reviews say I should be satisfied. |

You should check with DiscountTires.com and stuff. I don't know if they'd deliver to Hawaii or not, but Tires.com as well... _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 231,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong!

I just sold some 205/60 for $20 total, learned I should have charged more because 14 inch tires have less than 5 years until they become very expensive. I think BMW TRX territory is coming to the e30. _________________ 1987 325i Convertible

I just went through this and purchased a set of 195/65-14 Falken Ziex 912 from DTD for under $300. H rated, proper size and appear to be a decent tire for the money. Time will tell. I bought it thinking it might be one that should be around for a while if we need a replacement.
There was several sites and one that even had the Traction T/A (tires-easy) mentioned above still available. BFG no longer listed it in our size so I guess these are the last of old inventory which is why I avoided it. Look beyond TireRack and you'll see some other sites still list dozens of tires our size in 14".
A 205/60-14 on the other hand is much harder to find. _________________ -------- -x--x-- SI ByePass |
