OK, so I was changing my belts this weekend on my 94 w/ 93 engine, and I have come across an issue.

When I try to remove my alternator belt, it seems that my AC belt tensioner is in the way, and I can't figure out why. Maybe it's locked up? How do I remove it? I googled the question, and everything came back that my e36 should have a serpentine belt. NOPE.

Thoughts? Helpful hints? And yes, I searched the board too. Smile

On the tensioner wheel remove a protective cap, if one is present. Inside you will either find an 8mm Hex Bolt or a regular style one. Turning the bolt one way will unscrew the bolt. Turning the other way will release the tension and belt can easily be removed. Sorry, I forgot the direction of turning.

Ya, I found out the cap existed... Sad I overlooked it a million different times. Made me feel like a novice when I discovered it.
