We used these shorty SS headers found on ebay for around $250 in early 2010.

Here is a pic of that style header installed in my E30, left hand drive car.
Yes, shorty style, yes equal length.
Fit our M50 and should fit S50 since it's the same head as M50.







Someone asked if they clear the control arm mount, yes as they are shorties and you're going to do custom from the flange back.

We had the shop install a ball/flange joint to make it easy to drop the rear of the exhaust near the transmission to make a trans or clutch swap easy at the racetrack.
