i recently replaced a douglas battery for an interstate battery on a 1994 325I sedan with 182k. since the switch i have been having problems with the battery just dying out. even while driving. first the AST light comes on, then airbag and ABS lights. everything starts to go dim, car starts sputtering and eventually all cuts out. i went to the bar and came back after a half an hour and the car started right up. fortunately i did make it home but everything was starting to go out again.
i checked the connections of the battery and for the most part is secured. a bit of wiggle room but definitely connected. any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

There s/b NO wiggle room on the battery connections. They s/b immovable. The battery itself s/b solidly mounted.

Check the battery voltage with accessories off, and the engine at 1000 RPM. S/B 14 V. If only battery voltage, the alt is not working.
