Hello,

Does anyone know if there's such a database available with measuring points information?
I need em for e34 body recovery works after collision crash.

Unfortunately The Repair Service companies at my area that should have such information do not have it - saying that e34 is too old model. Sad

Any names, clues or help are very much appreciated.

I would expect that AllData would have the info they need. Many shop subscribe to this service, so that they can fix many different brands of cars.

Are you dealing with a BMW indie? If not, perhaps you should.

Yes, thats the point that they should subscribe to the service, but thers no such old data.
I know there are some kind of databases, but i do not know where to get em.

Like car-O-Soft 2000 Should include some e34 data. the swedish company car-o-line does not provide it anymore.

but there should be more databases out there.

i just want to get the data and get my car to be fixed at one of the Repair Service companies at my area.

Any shop that specializes in frame straightening should have access to the information required. With what kind of shop are you engaged?

well it is the same, the shop or the repair company.
repair companies got a bench for frame straightening. and that bench uses measuring points data for straightening various car's frames.
The point is, that bench does not have data for such an old model like E34.
They said they'll have to buy some additional package to upgrade their measuring points database so that it will include e34 also. But this package is not just e34 its a database for a range of caras through some older years so it will be very expencive to buy it just to fix one old e34.
thats why im looking for the data. maybe someone got it or have copied it somehow.

You need to find a shop that is interested in your business enough to get the required info to fix your car, and not charge you for his data acquisition.

well im trying here, went through 10 or more bigger shops and repair centers, they all od not deal with so old cars anymore, any smaller places use the copy technique.. eg take the measureing info from another similar car or something.. but this method, if possible, i would not prefer.
